Tutary ("we", "us") provides scheduling, billing, and communication tools for tutors and their students. This page explains what data we collect, why, and how you can control it.
Information we collect
- Account information — name, email address, and a hashed password. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile picture from Google instead.
- Profile information — anything you choose to add, such as a profile photo, birth date, or bio.
- Tutoring data — the students, lessons, schedules, homework notes, and messages you create while using Tutary.
- Payment status — whether a lesson is marked as paid. Tutary does not process card payments or store card numbers or bank details.
- Session data — a signed cookie that keeps you logged in. It identifies your session only; we don't use it for advertising or tracking across other sites.
- Basic server logs — standard technical logs (IP address, timestamp, requested page) kept briefly for security and debugging.
How we use it
Solely to run the product: authenticating you, showing your schedule and students, sending lesson-related notifications and homework, and sending account emails such as verification links. We do not sell your data, and we do not run advertising on Tutary.
Who we share it with
- Resend — our email provider, used to deliver verification and notification emails. Resend receives the recipient address and message content needed to send that email.
- Google — only if you choose to sign in with Google, to authenticate you.
- Hosting provider — our servers run on infrastructure located in the EU, which stores data on our behalf.
We don't share your data with anyone else, and we don't sell it.
Students and minors
A tutor may invite a student to Tutary via a shareable link, and the student (or their parent/guardian, if the student is a minor) creates their own account to accept it. Anyone registering a student who is a minor is responsible for having the appropriate parental consent to do so.
Your choices
You can update or delete your profile information from your account settings at any time. To request a full export or deletion of your account data, email us at the address below.
